I am so glad you’re here.
Welcome to the Farm! A place to be Encouraged.
Whether you are looking to learn new farming skills or looking for instruction about how to preserve the harvest. Maybe you are looking for homeschooling advice or other parenting advice. You are in the right place. Even if you are just dreaming about living on a farm or would like to live vicariously through me. I am honored to welcome you to our little corner of the internet.

My family lives on a 100-acre farm in the rolling hills of Southwest Wisconsin. We have beef cows, bottle calves, a family milk cow, and miniature donkeys.
Did I mention that I am a crazy bird lady? I have chickens, ducks, turkeys, geese, and guineas. We also have dogs and cats. It is a zoo around here!

We also homeschool our children. One of my projects is to develop a homeschool curriculum for the upper elementary and middle school students about farming. Stay tuned to hear more about that.
We love Jesus and I love to share the Biblical lessons that I have learned from farming. The name of our blog came from Psalm 50:10. There are so many farming references in the Bible that we can apply to our daily lives.
So if you ever felt frustrated on the farm or have days where you felt like everything is going wrong. You are not alone.
You are in the right place.
If you feel overwhelmed with everything that needs to be done on the farm and maybe even homeschool the kids too. Don’t give up! At Cattle Upon a Hill, we provide faith-filled, frugal, farming solutions and instruction. Everything from raising animals, preparing and preserving food to frugal ideas for homeschooling on the farm.
I have found that so many busy farmers, especially women struggle with finding the time to utilize their harvest at home and keep the home organized which is why my passion is educating others fast, frugal farming solutions.
