BE SURE TO PIN FOR LATER

In a recent Ruby’s Pantry Share, we received some Hollander Chocolate Frappe Powder. The recipe calls for espresso which I don’t have on hand. My 11-year-old son wanted to try it, but of course, I am not going to let him drink Espresso. He developed his own kid’s version of Frappe. Now his siblings ask him to make it all the time!
It is so easy to make that your kids can to make it, which is great for you!

Hollander Chocolate Story
I am a weird person who likes to read food packaging. From the marketing descriptions, to the ingredients, to the nutritional facts. Am I the only one who does this?
I am also very interested in the story behind the Ruby’s Pantry Food and how it ended up in the share. If you ever know the story behind any of the food, please email me so I can share it. While reading the packaging, I was pleasantly surprised to find out that Hollander is a Wisconsin Company.
According to their website they provide products to cafes and barista. I am guessing that due to Covid-19 and restaurants being closed there was probably an overstock of their products.
Hollander Chocolate café sauces and powders are created for craft beverages with Holland’s finest Dutched cocoas and quality ingredients. With the creative spirit of the pioneering Dutch masters and a tradition of innovation, we elevate classic cocoa recipes to work in harmony with fine espresso. Made in America for the modern café and barista, Hollander Chocolate is the premium collection of fine café sauces and powders.
Hollander
Milk
We have our own milk cow so this recipe is very frugal for us, but you can use any kind of milk. From cow’s milk, to almond milk, or coconut milk. If our cow isn’t milking, I enjoy either Kwik Trip milk or almond milk.
Instructions
This recipe is so simple to make. You basically throw everything in your high powered blender and blend. However the order you place the ingredients in the blender will give you the best results.
- First, the milk.
- Then the frappe packet
- Finally, the ice.
We learned that the order is important to prevent the powder mix to sticking to the bottom of the blender and not mixing completely. But other than that, just blend away! Your kids can easily make this recipe once you have instructed them once or twice. And who doesn’t love independent children!
Add whipped cream or chocolate sprinkles if you would like!
