As a fellow homeschooler, I also tried to choose activities with minimal supplies needed. If you are like me, you don’t want to make a trip to town to buy craft supplies. Or you don’t want to clean up a huge mess.
Toddler Chicken Homeschool Activities
So I said that about minimal supplies and then the first craft I am going to share has a long supply list, but it is a really cute craft and if you have chickens, you could “borrow” feathers from your own chickens.
Preschooler Chicken Homeschool Activities
Children love learning about the chicken life cycle. Here is a simple activity for preschoolers who are learning fine motor skills such as cutting and pasting.
If you are interested in a messier, craftier and need more art supplies version of the chicken life cycle.
Early Elementary Chicken Homeschool Activities
You will have to scroll down through a few unit studies to find this gem of a chicken unit study for kindergartners.
Upper Elementary CHICKEN HOMESCHOOL ACTIVITIES
You can check out my free chicken worksheet that accompanies a video. It is available in my resource library along with many other homesteading and homeschooling resources. You can receive the worksheet and the password by signing up for my newsletter.
Who doesn’t love a little chicken math? Here is a math worksheet with a twist. As the student answers correctly, they complete a chicken puzzle. This is one of my favorite printables on the list.
Middle School CHICKEN ACTIVITIES
This lapbook could probably be done by upper elementary or middle school. If you have chickens and your children already know a lot about chickens this resource is for you. My kids loved putting this lapbook together and we learned a few things about chickens along the way. There are even Bible verses. Be still, my Christian heart!
High School CHICKEN Resources
I have learned quite a bit from Justin Rhodes and he is very enthusiastic and inspirational. He has a wonderful teaching style and I think high school students would be capable of completing this free chicken course. You will enjoy it too!
